The SPOTLIGHT dance center was opened in 2008 by Sandra Breit in Vienna’s 23rd district. In the following years, the dance studio grew more and more and soon the few classical dance classes (ballet, musical, hip hop, creative children’s dance) became a full weekly program – breakdance, Afrobeat, street dance, TikTok and much more now enrich the timetable Especially in K-Pop, a lot of dance development work has been done in recent years and so the community now has a wide range of options to choose from – there are even separate courses for children.

In the meantime, the SPOTLIGHT dance center has not only become a second home for many dancers, but has also become an integral part of the Grätzl in Vienna South, especially thanks to the numerous performances by the DanceCrew. With the dancers of the SPOTLIGHT DanceCrew, you immediately notice that they share a passion for dance. As a team, they constantly motivate each other to perform new moves and tricks and inspire their audience. It is therefore a special pleasure for the members of the DanceCrew to be able to perform at YuniCon for the first time this year.

Under the title SAKURA, SPOTLIGHT presents a choreography remix with an Asian influence. Different hip hop styles are combined with each other and a kind of symbiosis of old and new school is created, e.g. original K-Pop choreographies are covered and combined with breaking elements.
