BL Media: Problematic or freedom of female sexuality?

Dear YuniCon visitors!
I am a student of Japanese Studies and for my last seminar paper I decided
to look into the BL genre. I researched the history
of the genre as well as the perception of it in Japanese society
and would like to share my findings with you. I was motivated by the
burning discourse on BL media that is currently prevalent on social media.
I would like to present new perspectives on the topic and clarify certain points
. In my work, in addition to the theory of BL, I also deal with
the changed self-perception and external perception of BL fans (also known as fujoshi, fudanshi,
