If information is missing, a reminder will be sent out; if the third reminder is not answered within 2 days, the registration will be canceled.
Rules Yunicon:
- In this competition, cosplay and performance are judged equally. This means that both the performance and your costume each contribute 50% to the overall rating.
- The cosplay must be 80% self-made.
- Participants can appear in costumes representing characters from anime, manga, comics, video games, movies, TV series, comics, J-Music. Only characters with an official reference are eligible for the final, so personal creations and fanart are not allowed in this competition.
- All performances are permitted, whether dance, monologue, dialog, etc.
- Both groups (maximum of 3 people) and individual participants are welcome. For groups, all characters must be represented from the same source. Please keep your performance adult-free, i.e. no depiction of violence or pornographic content. Please also make sure that your costumes fit well and use shorts/safety pants to avoid wardrobe mishaps.
- If you need sound for your performance, the file must be submitted in advance.
- It is also not possible to integrate microphones on stage.
- So if you have dialog in your performance, it must be recorded in advance and sent along. Only one audio file per performance is possible, so please cut it accordingly.
- It is also possible to submit a video file instead of an audio file. This must already contain audio (if required).
- Permitted file formats: MP3, MP4
- Winning the contest obliges you to take part in the ECG. If participation is refused or is not desired, victory is forfeited and second place moves up.
The length of the performance is limited:
- Solo – 1m 15 sec
- Group 2m 30 sec
- If you exceed the time limit, points will be deducted accordingly
- In principle, participation is linked to your nationality. You may only participate if you have Austrian citizenship or a permanent residence permit in Austria. However, you will then no longer be allowed to compete for your home country the following year.
- If the winners are unable to attend at the time of the final, the runner-up will move up to take part in the final.
- Costumes that have already placed in other competitions are excluded from participation. The same applies to own creations/OCs.
Props: - For your performance it is possible to have up to 3 stage props/props on stage.
- These are divided into 3 categories (one allowed per category): Heavy: maximum 20 kg, must be able to be brought on and off the stage by two helpers within 15 seconds. Medium: Max. 10 kg, must be able to be carried on and off the stage by a helper within 15 seconds Light: Max. 3 kg, must be able to be carried on and off the stage by the cosplayer within 15 seconds.
